Tens of thousands attended Saturday and Sunday's Thunder of Niagara Air show, where vintage aircraft, including a B-25 bomber, were on display on the ground, along with more contemporary models including USAF drones, a major component in today's arsenal.

The biggest impediment to the weekend show was traffic with waits to get on and off the base as long one to two hours. Show organizers say they never ran out of parking, either on-base or in satellite areas. The problem was that the entrance and exit to the base are single lane roads, and not meant for thousands of visitors.

The most exciting parts were the F-18 Super Hornet, the B-1 Bomber and the Stealth Bomber that flew on Saturday.

Of course the highlight of both days was the United States Air Force Thunderbirds!

The roar of jet engines didn't seem to bother the kids (of all ages), even when the jets "came up on the crowd, unannounced".

Most agreed that the FREE show was well worth the wait, and a great tribute to our military on 9/11.
