A trip back to the '60s was enjoyed by all Saturday night in North Tonawanda at the historic Riviera Theater.

I had the pleasure of being the emcee for the show for this incredibly talented group of musicians called, The BBC Band. I have worked closely with the band for years and besides calling them talented,  I proudly call them my friends.

From the Beatles, the Kinks, Hollies, these guys cover the classic British Invasion songs like none other. If you've never had the chance to see them perform, make plans. Click on and see the BBC Band website for upcoming dates and to get on their mailing list. For me, one of the other highlights of the night was to actually stand on the same stage that many famous Vaudeville acts performed on. Loretta Lynn, Amy Grant, Mary Chapin-Carpenter have also played this beautiful theater that was opened in 1926. The theater only has a full-time staff of 3, yet the wonderful volunteer staff has helped restore The Riviera Theater in to a showplace. And who can resist the fabulous sounds of the "Mighty Wurlitzer" organ that entertains audiences prior to every show.
