The Great Kate Wait Is On — Royal Baby To Debut Soon!
Millions around the world are waiting for the debut of the newest British Royal, now third in line for the throne. We don't know his name, but we do know his vital statistics. He was born at 4:24 p.m. on Monday, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. According to a statement released by the palace, the baby will carry the title of "His Royal Highness Prince [name] of Cambridge."
Prince William's own parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, spent a full seven days deciding upon his name, and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip waited a full month before naming Charles.
But, fun fact: British babies born the same day as the new prince will receive a "lucky" silver penny!
