A threat written on a bathroom stall at Orchard Park Middle School will result in an increased police presence at the school today.

The school will be open as usual, but police will be taking some precautions at the school and across the district.

Orchard Park School Superintendent Matthew McGarrity said all threats are taken seriously. He issued a statement on the district website:

The Orchard Park Police department was immediately contacted to begin an investigation...[and] will continue to investigate this incident with school officials. As a precaution, on Wednesday, April 24, there will be an increased police presence in and around the middle school and the district as a whole.
