Grab the box of tissues, this one might ruin your day... NOT! Television network TLC is putting the kibosh on the family reality show "Kate Plus 8." The show has been around since 2007 and was formerly called "Jon and Kate Plus 8" where it starred parents Jon and Kate Gosselin with their eight kids. The show's name was changed after Jon and Kate had some marital issues and ended up divorced.

This is one show that I could not get hooked on, thank goodness! My wife did get hooked on the show and has been watching it a lot more recently, maybe she sensed that the show was coming to an end.

The show's ratings hit an all time high when the couple announced that they were separating in 2009 with over 10 million views and most recently the show has had less than 2 million viewers. I guess controversy sells on reality TV. TLC says they may check in with the family every now and then and run a reality TV special. The mother on the show Kate has been on "Dancing With The Stars" two seasons ago and I have no doubt that the end of "Kate Plus 8" does not mean the end of Kate Gosselin and reality TV, maybe they'll give Kate a shot on the "Celebrity Apprentice" or "Survivor" next. Or better yet, maybe she'll be on the next "Bachelorette" show.

Here's a clip of a show if you've never seen it...
