This story was originally released in August of 2011, but it just won't go away! Prompting CNN to revisit it just this past week.

What are these discs at the bottom of the Baltic Sea that resemble the Star Wars' Millennium Falcon? We may not know until May when the Seas calm, but it is interesting to theorize, and a look at the video does make one wonder. CNN News reports:

“Sonar readings show it’s about 60 meters across, or the size of a Jumbo jet, and, it’s not on its own down there, the Ocean Explorer Team also found another smaller disk-shaped object nearby. Both show a rigid tail or drag marks more than four hundred meters long.”

Peter Lindberg of the Explorer team said... if the object were indeed a flying saucer, recovering it could be worth millions or billions of dollars. If it turns out to be a natural formation, the salvage operation would be a waste of time and money.

The proposed date for a return to the Baltic Sea to ‘salvage’ the mystery object is May 2012.
