When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemon Cake! — Delilah’s Recipe Book

Trying to find a dessert that satisfies most, if not all, of your taste buds?

This cake is sure to be a safe bet!

If you need to make a dessert for an event that satisfies a lot of different taste buds, I've found lemon cake is usually a safe bet. This next recipe is so easy, you can put it together in a matter of minutes and enjoy it together with your sweetheart!

Lemon Cake

Batter:
1 box lemon or yellow cake mix
1 package lemon Jell-O
4 eggs
¾ cup water
¾ cup oil

Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Directions:
Mix together all batter ingredients in a big bowl. Drop batter into a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Prick the cake all over with a fork.

For glaze, combine powdered sugar with lemon juice and whisk.

Pour glaze over top of cake and it will seep into the fork holes for a delicious added flavor.
