It's that time of year again -- the time for the stresses of preparing for that perfect Christmas dinner or party.

However, Delilah explains that you shouldn't have to feel that way when it comes to the holiday season. She also gives a few tips for feeling better faster about the holidays.

I’m not going to remind you how many weekends are left before Christmas, that’s just mean. Every year I go thru the same thing, realizing how much I have to buy, cook, and do to get ready. Oh, and I also have this little radio show I like to do every night. Doing my show is actually the time I feel most at peace – must be all the Christmas songs putting the joy back into my heart.

If you feel like you’re starting to lose sight of what’s important and you’re already wishing you could fast-forward past Christmas, let me give you a simple list to work on. The holidays are meant to fill you with joy, not steal it. Get this list down and start feeling better fast…

1) Count your blessings.

2) Practice kindness.

3) Let go of what you can’t control.

4) Listen to your heart.

5) Don’t overdo it.

6) Be productive yet calm.

7) Don’t overspend.

8) Remember what’s important.

9) Don’t forget to have fun.

10) Take a big breath.
