Ron Fugelseth and his four-year-old son Jayden made up the intrepid crew. Jayden offered his beloved toy train Stanley, and his father, creative director for a California film-making company, brought in the technical savvy to make the dream flight possible [and get a visual record of the journey]:

The senior Fugelseth said his biggest concern was to ensure that Jayden's beloved toy got returned to him. GPS technology attached to the baloon allowed the train to be tracked to its ultimate landing spot, some 27 miles from its launch point.
