Here we go again! Another hockey season has begun in the Hagen household. Ryan's team began dry land training this week and hit the ice for their first skating session together this morning!

Ryan is once again playing for the Cheektowaga Warriors AA 2000 team at the PeeWee Major level. (Basically, that means he's playing travel hockey with kids born in the year 2000 and they will play against similar teams.) About two-thirds of the team returned from last year, with a few new additions.

The boys started training this past week with a team-building session and a good physical workout. They hit the ice together this morning for another good workout.

Youth hockey is a lot of hard work, but with the right group of people it can also be a lot of fun! Hockey is great exercise for Ryan and also great for his coordination, teaches discipline and builds confidence. It's also taught Ryan to work harder to achieve his goals.

So when does the fun come in? We've made some great friends, in some cases, lifelong friends. We travel together for tournaments, experience new places together, and of course all cheer for our boys together! Winning is bonus fun, but not mandatory to have a really good time!

Go Warriors! We're looking forward to an awesome year!
