Dale Mussen

I've been doing this radio thing for over 35 years now. I've been a part of the Breakfast Club morning show since 1986. Since I was a kid, I've loved to read. I read the newspaper each day nearly cover to cover – usually not the classifieds though. I get a lot of ideas for my Daily Data segment just by reading the paper. I’m a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan, and I've been a regular in the press box of both teams since 1979 -- but I'm still waiting for one of them to win a championship! Four cracks at it for the Bills and two for the Sabres, and they came up short. I was born and raised in the Buffalo area. I went to school at Niagara University, and since Clay went to Canisius, we get to raz each other twice each year when the Eagles and Griffs meet to play basketball. I have a large collection of records. I'm one of the few that still has the old vinyl, including a lot of old 45s in their original sleeves. Some kids probably have no idea what I'm talking about at this point. My favorite things to do in my spare time are bike riding and fixing things around the house, and each fall, I officiate high school football games.

West Seneca Boy Featured on ‘Inside Edition’ [VIDEO]

Have you seen that Verizon commercial where a little boy wakes up in bed, then starts to participate in his school class with a V-Go robot?

Only four school districts in the country use the V-Go robot, and West Seneca Schools is one of them. And last night on Inside Edition, they featured the story of Devin Carrow – a second grader at Winchester Elementary.

What NOT To Give For Christmas

I’ve always stressed myself over Christmas shopping. I’m always way too concerned over whether the person I’m giving a gift to will actually like it. The better you know someone the easier it is to buy them a gift, or just be a careful listener. They’ll give you clues and they won’t even know it.

Holiday Gift Superstitions

It’s that time of year for giving gifts, but if you look at different cultures around the world there are different superstitions about giving gifts. Sometimes they’re outright taboos. For example:

Don’t give gifts with sharp objects like a knife, scissors or letter opener. It sends harsh energy to the receiver. It could even sever the friendship.

Don’t Be Fooled by Hurricane Sandy’s Category One Classification

We keep hearing that Sandy is a Category One hurricane, but at the same time, we're told not to treat it lightly. It could be because of the way hurricanes are rated in the first place.

It’s called the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane scale. It was developed in 1971 by civil engineer Herbert Saffir and meteorologist Bob Simpson, who was the director of the National Hurricane Center at the time. The idea was to give the public an idea of the destructive force of a hurricane in a simple way, a lot like the Richter Scale rates earthquakes.
