Trying to win the battle of the tummy bulge can be difficult. Tummy fat or visceral fat is dangerous beacuase  it produces inflammation, which affects the rest of the body. This can lead to diabetes, heart diseases and other problems. Dropping inches in your waistline is about more than creating a curvy figure or just trying to get into your favorite pants.  

 According to Dr Apovian you can reduce your midsection by following a healthy diet.  Your diet should include foods from all food groups and lower your caloric intake. I'm so happy to hear this, I don't like diets that say no bread, fruits or cupcakes. I know the cupcake is a personal love of mine. I'd like to think one every once in a while is OK.
