It looks like Mother Nature is using the extra day in February to bring some snow across New York today.

It is Leap Day and some people are waking up to snow showers in some places in New York there will be a lot of it.

Starting in Western New York, there are some snow showers moving across Niagara County this morning. The good news is that the snow ban is moving so it is spreading the snow over the area instead of just dumping it on one town.

Out in Central New York, things are a little bit worse as Lake Effect Snow could end up putting down over a foot of snow over the next 24 hours. The hardest hit areas will be North Onondaga, Madison, and Oneida counties
