I'm a dog person.  I've always been a dog person.  But at one point in my life, I maintained the same goldfish for about 7 years (yes, I realize my parents may have spared me the emotional downfall of losing a pet when I was so young, and may very well have "replaced" Goldie with her doppelgangers a few times...).

I treated myself to what I think is about the coolest find ever:  The Fish Clock.  (As soon as I TWEETED about it, my cousin immediately asked me for info, as she's getting one for my niece and godson! Sign up using this link and we'll BOTH get credit when you buy something!)

I happened to have been at Elmwood Pet Supplies, where I was told they have the most knowledgeable staff...which they DO!  Right after I picked up my fish, I had dinner plans next door at Cecelia's, so I had to keep my little buddy warm on my lap through the entire meal.  Thankfully, the waitress didn't think I was TOTALLY bats.

I got a Betta fish to go in the clock, frankly because there's a Betta on the box.  I've decided my Betta is a male.  Here's DJ checkin him out....

SO....for now, he's got the working name "Klaus Von Klock Fish"....because I'm weird.  However, I'd love to have your suggestions!  And this is where Twitter comes in!

Follow me @LauraDaniels961 and tweet at me using hashtag "NameMyFish"  with your suggestion.  If you're new to twitter, check out this handy step-by-step guide....and we've got another really cool contest coming next week that's Twitter-based!  So now's a great time to play around with it!  (Trust me, it's REALLY simple....and it's FREE!)

So, say your suggestion for a name is Burgertown. (???)  You'd type:

"@LauraDaniels961 I think you should name him Burgertown! #NameMyFish Have a great day!"

You can leave out the 'Have a great day' bit if you like...but you get the idea.  Now get in on the action...start tweeting today! :)
