New Orleans Seven Years After Katrina: Ellen Tours City’s Ninth Ward With Brad Pitt [VIDEO]

Ellen DeGeneres paid a visit recently to New Orleans where she met up with Brad Pitt to tour the city’s ninth ward.  The area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Brad Pitt’s “Make It Right”  Foundation has been working to build safe and affordable homes in New Orleans lower ninth ward since Katrina destroyed the area seven years ago.  Ellen joined Pitt on a tour of the area to check out the progress they’ve made.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration  reports Katrina was the most destructive hurricane to ever strike the U.S. in terms of economic losses which topped 60-billion-dollars, with some saying damage could be as much as 125-billion-dollars.
