Kindle

I used some of my downtime over the Holidays to get back into something I really enjoy...reading. I got through three books, one was an audiobook that I listened to while walking, one was a hardcover that I just bought, and one was on my kindle app.

Last Christmas, I got a Kindle as a gift. At the time, I mentioned here that it reportedly could hold “over 1,400 books.”  I’m not there yet. But I’ve made a lot more progress than even I thought I might.

Apple’s release of their iPad 3 set the tech world abuzz last week. While the tablet has many functions, it is often used as an electronic reader, and its competing devices are eReaders, like Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes & Noble’s Nook. According to a new survey from Harris Interactive of 2,056 adults there is plenty of demand for all these tablets, as eReaders are becoming more and more popular

I love my family and friends for many reasons. One of the more important ones is that, periodically, they lead me kicking and screaming into the current century.
