The future of the Niagara Falls Air Reserve station has been "up in the air" for sometime. Some 800+ jobs are at stake. After an invitation from Rep. Kathy Hocul, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta agreed to visit the Airbase this Thursday, according to WIVB TV.
The House Armed Services Committee passed an amendment Thursday which would restore funding for the Air National Guard.

Reports are circulating this morning that "spy planes" could be coming to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, if the Air Force agrees to a plan to prevent cuts in units like the 107th Airlift Wing, based in the Falls.
