Raspberry-Lemon Thumbprint Cookies
1/2 C raspberry jam (seedless)
1 T raspberry liqueur
2-1/4 C AP flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C unsalted butter -- room temp.
2/3 C sugar
2 large egg yolks
1 T finely grated lemon peel
1 T fresh lemon juice

3 egg yolks (reserve egg whites, they will be used later)
3 cups sifted flour -- measured first, then sifted
2 tablespoons Crisco
pinch of salt
This holiday cookie is called a Tortelette. My mom always made these at Christmastime, so it is very special to me and a part of my memories from childhood. It is from an old recipe handwritten by my mom
