Million Dollar Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

Someone in New York State is waking up a millionaire this morning.

The New York State Lottery announced that one 2nd place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from last night's Powerball drawing.

That ticket matched all five numbers but missed out on the Powerball number. That ticket won $1 million dollars and was sold at Avadh Convenience Store in Queens.

The good news is that there were two other "Big Money" winning tickets sold as well from last night's Powerball drawing. Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and had the Powerball number. Those tickets each won $50,000.

Wednesday's Winning Powerball numbers were: 21-29-54-59-62 with a Powerball of 4.

No one claimed the grand prize from last night's Powerball which means the jackpot is up to $600 million dollars for Saturday's drawing. No one has won the Powerball jackpot since January 1st, of this year.

If someone in New York were to win Saturday's Powerball drawing, they would set the record for the largest lottery jackpot ever won in New York.
