We've had all kinds of "wild" animals stray through our yard over the years.  Nearly ten years ago when we first moved to Lancaster, there was a huge "buck" standing not far from my back door one morning.  We've had ducks in the pool and snakes in our landscaping rocks.  I guess, all rather typical.  Lately though, a fox has been enjoying my backyard!

We've spotted the fox on several occasions wandering through the neighborhood yards and in the field behind our house.  Last year, the little red furry creature was on the patio.  I obviously can't tell if this is the same one, but we've got a fox hanging out in my backyard lately.  The kids have spotted him on several occasions over the last few weeks.  Most recently this weekend, both Friday and Saturday.  There he was, just laying in my yard!  He rolled around in the grass a bit, took a little nap and then wandered off.  He's a shy little guy.  The second we tap on the window or open the back door to let the dogs out, he takes off.  I am thankful for that.  He's cute, but I really don't want a real life Disney movie taking place at home... you know, "The Fox and the Hound."

What's in your backyard?
