The ice rink at Canalside is officially open for the season and tonight along with every Wednesday you can skate for free.

According to their website, the fee to skate at the rink at Canalside will be waived due to sponsorship by Roar Logistics. While the fee to skate has been waived, if you need to rent skates, it will still cost you $5.

Free skating on Wednesday is just one of the many new specials happening this season at the ice rink at Canalside. Thursday is known as Labatturskate, where you can get $3 Labatte beers from the snack shop.

On Saturdays, there will be a special theme every week, and on Sunday it is Kids Day Fun Day. Kids can jump in the new Ice Castle bounce house, they can try out the new Kids' activity zone on the rink where they can draw on the ice, play kids' hockey, and more. Plus while supplies last, each kid can get a free snack and prize each week.
